Struggling to figure out how to use Social Media effectively for your business? Here are a few quick tips to help improve your social media marketing productivity.

improve your social marketing productivity

Social media marketing is no longer something that business owners can ignore.

With nearly 3 out of 4 adults in the United States using social media, it’s a vital component of a business’s overall marketing strategy.

But as with any marketing tactic, you must focus on maintaining a high level of productivity. If you spend countless hours maintaining a presence on social media, only for it to yield little-to-no benefit, you’ll face an uphill battle when trying to attract follows.

Here are some helpful tips to improve your social media marketing productivity.

Connect Facebook to Twitter

Assuming you want to post the same content on both Twitter and Facebook, you can connect your two accounts together. Once connected, any content posted on Facebook will automatically be posted on Twitter as well (note: Twitter’s 140 character limit may truncate some posts).

To connect your accounts, log in to Twitter and access Settings, followed by “Connect to Facebook.” You will then be prompted to log in to Facebook, after which your accounts will be connected. This is a great way to simplify your social media marketing efforts while improving your productivity in the process.

Paid Advertising

If you really want to go the extra mile with your social media marketing efforts, consider investing in paid advertising. Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn and Instragram all offer paid advertising. Granted, each advertising platform differs from network to network, but they all allow business owners to receive additional exposure. Facebook Ads is arguably the most versatile solution, offering both a cost-per-impression (CPM) and cost-per-click (CPC) pay format.

Automate Posts

Don’t underestimate the importance of automating your social media posts. Studies have shown that it’s usually best to make multiple posts on social media daily; thus, increasing your exposure and reach. However, logging into each of your social media accounts to manually create these posts can be tedious and time-consuming. The good news is that certain tools like HootSuite can automate these tasks.

Using HootSuite, you can schedule your social media posts in advance. HootSuite offers both a free and paid version of the service, with the free version limited to just 3 accounts. Of course, there are alternative social media management services that offer similar features, including post scheduling and automation.

These are just a few tips to improve your productivity with social media marketing.
