Find out how to turn your existing blog posts into videos for additional website traffic, improved engagement and better conversions, all in less than 5 minutes.

You already know that video marketing is a key to driving new traffic and converting website visitors, but do you know how to turn your blog posts into videos in less than 5 minutes to maximize your content?

Why would you want to turn a blog post that you’ve already created into a video?

Because not all of your audience consumes information in the same way, PLUS:

Isn’t recreating a blog post kind of redundant?

In the online marketing world, we call this repurposing content and it’s super beneficial.

Since you’ve already written great content, repurposing your blog content in the form of video is the perfect way to save time and while reaching more of your audience on different platforms. Like I mentioned above, your audience consumes information in different ways. There are segments of your audience that prefer to read blog posts, while others prefer video. Your content will have much broader reach if you serve both audiences.

So, How do you turn blog posts into videos?

That’s a great question, and it’s a LOT easier than you think!

Just out of curiosity…

Have you ever received one of those emails that was just so tempting that you had to try it?

Well, I got one from InVideo a while back asking me to try their online Blog Post to Video creator.

Seeing as how we offer a very similar service, I kinda wanted to give it a whirl.

Full disclosure: I’m not getting paid by, affiliated or a sponsor of their product.

That being said, I found this to be a pretty amazing tool for startups, entrepreneurs on a shoe string budget and bloggers in general.

If you’re looking to build out content, reach more people on more platforms or even improve conversion rates, you may just want to check out InVideo.

No joke, you can turn a blog post into an uploadable video pretty darn quick.

3 Steps to Turning blog posts into Videos

1 – Choose a template for your script.

2 – Work on your storyboard. This is the most important step.

3 – Preview and Publish

Select a good template for your video.

InVideo has a pretty good selection of video templates to springboard from. What I like about this is that it allows you to create several videos with distinctly different looks right from the get go. This is great if you already have several blog posts that you would like to convert.

The Style-Genie is a very intuitive user interface which allows you to add your own personalization.

Simply, select a frame from the array of frames at the bottom.

On the right side of the screen you will see 2 tabs – Styles and Edit. In the Styles tab, you will see a few options to customize that frame. These suggestions are based on your previous preferences and keep changing for different templates.

Adding audio

Many say music is the heart of your video. While I personally feel that voice over narration is more impactful, InVideo makes it possible to do either. That being said if you’re wanting to create video quickly, you can quickly explore more than 100 tracks in over 10 categories.

Simply Go to the Music Tab > Select a category > Play a track and then click select.

Or use the up-arrow sign to upload your own music or audio.

Like I mentioned, sometimes you just need a human voice in your videos. To achieve this just use the “Add VO” button to record the voice over in the app itself or upload one. You can trim the audio, adjust the volume of the VO, fade it in, fade it out, etc.

So as not to be misleading, I did watch InVideos quick tutorial video:

After watching the video, I then spent a couple hours monkeying around with the admin area and tools.

Once I felt comfortable, I then jumped over to this blog post:

I simply popped the blog url into the video designer to auto populate a video script:

Add URL to auto populate

As you can see, it brought in the entire blog post, so I just removed a lot of the content to create bite sized messages.

In the screenshot below you will see the design tool tries to do as much as possible for you by preloading text and images. If you don’t like the image the tool populates, simply “search and add your own” media.

In my example, I wanted to see just how quickly I could put together a semi descent video to summarize my blog post.

As you can see in the screenshot below, adding images and text is super easy. I already had my background photos prepped. It took me about 1 minute to download the background images I needed from Unsplash and Pixabay for free and then upload them using the “upload” button shown on the left hand tool pallet.

Everything in the builder is set up as “drag and drop layers”. I simply copied text from my original blog post to create key point scenes for the storyboard.

I went through this process of adding and creating different scenes to summarize my original blog post and viola, the finished product is a downloadable video that you can upload to YouTube and embed and share:

This is the perfect tool for those who want to create engaging videos where an image appears in the video when a speaker is talking about a particular topic.
Motionbox offers a simple user interface with the simple drag-and-drop editor that enables users to add photos, watermarks, gif images, logos, and integrated Unplash images to the timeline to create unique videos.
With features such as music visualization, Meme maker, GIF resizer, video trimmer, and video calendar, it offers an unlimited possibility when it comes to design. These features also make it very easy to convert your blog posts into videos.
I’ve only just started using Motionbox, so I don’t have a tutorial on it yet. That being said, I think this tool is well worth mentioning for creating powerful videos and gifs quickly.
Remember!

The fact is, people love video content. Video is emotionally engaging, it connects the viewer to a company, person, or product much more effectively than any other form of content. This is exactly why businesses should pay attention to these video marketing tools.

Because videos are so effective in communicating with your audience, it’s no wonder that most modern brands use video in their digital marketing strategies. Animated video content has become the main tool for companies to successfully promote their products and create a stable connection with their target audience. The tremendous success and effective implementation of a product largely depend on the quality and availability of videos.
