WTF, right? Paypal allows people to bypass the BigCommerce checkout and go straight to Paypal to pay. Unfortunately, this allows people to purchase your products without being charged for shipping or tax. Not good!

You will need to remove the alternative checkout buttons in two areas to force your customers to use the BigCommerce checkout page in order to collect the necessary shipping and billing information. Here’s how you do it.
If you want your customers to use your checkout page, but still use Google or Pyapal to pay for their order, here’s how to hide the buttons that display on your site.

Removing the Buttons on your Pop-up Confirmation Page
When you have this enabled, a page will popup in a lightbox on your store that looks like the picture below.  If you have Google Checkout and either PayPal Express Checkout or PayPal Website Payments Pro as a checkout method, the buttons in the red box will appear.

1. To remove these buttons, first login to your store’s Control Panel.
2. Click on Design.

3. Click on the Template Files tab.

4. Find the Snippets folder, and click the plus sign next to it.

5. Scroll down in the new list of template files until you find the FastCartThickBoxContent.html file.  Click Edit.

6. A new page will open and you will see the code for this page.  To remove the alternative checkout buttons, simply remove the variable in the red box below.

7. Click the Save button in the top left corner of this page, and those buttons will now be gone from the pop-up confirmation page.

Removing the Buttons on your Cart

5. Scroll down in the new list of template files until you find the CartContent.html file.  Click Edit.

6. A new page will open displaying the code for that page.  Find the lines below and delete the text in the red box.

7. Click the Save button in the top left corner of this page, and those buttons will now be gone from your cart and you’re good to go.
